How to get data in power bi?

Green marked area
To get data this area is used. If you click on the get data option in the tab then a drop-down menu will be shown. Click on the option according to your file type. Suppose you have an excel file then click on excel. To get the file from the SQL server click on SQL server option. You can see the same options besides the get data option. You can also click there to get files.
In power bi you can load multiple files at time and also work with multiple files at a time

Suppose you want to get an excel file from you local system:
step 1: Click on get data
step 2: Click on excel
step 3: Select your file from your system and click on open




step 4: A page will be displayed check the sheet(red marked area) and then click on load(green marked area).

Now if you want to load more files then do the same process.

How perform copy, cut, paste in power bi?

Blue marked area:

To perform copy, cut, paste, and copy format this area is used. To copy or cut just select the chart and then click on copy or cut. After this go to that place where you want to paste and click on paste.

Red marked area:

There are some charts or visuals are given to use. These are free but you can get more. To get more visuals or chart click on more visuals and for new visuals click on new visuals. To get a text box use the text box option. In the text box write text and also can decorate the text.

Purple marked area:

Power BI opens on this page. It is the base page. Here you will create the dashboard.

Yellow marked area

If you go to this page then you will see the table that you have imported. To see table data or edit the table then you have to come to this page.




Brown marked area

Suppose you have imported three tables. First table two columns are connected with the third table first column and second table fourth column is connected with the third table third column. So this type of relationship between tables is displayed on this page. On this page, you can also create a relationship between tables. In the image, you can see two restaurant bill tables. Now let's make the relationship between the first and second table sex column. To do that just select the first table sex column and drag it to the second table sex column.
