Introduction of excel

What is excel?

Excel is spread sheet program where you can load data, generate data and can perform a lot of works using those data, like analyze data, creating graphs and charts, pivot table, mathematical operations, create data, add or delete data and many more things.

In excel you get or can see the data in from of row and column as like table. Intersect of a row and column is called cell.
How to work with excel, we will learn in upcoming lectures.

Excel use cases example

Example 1:
Suppose you got data which contain 1M row and 15 columns. The data can contain some missing values. So you have to clean data first. Clean means fill or delete the missing value. After this you have to create a column from name column which contain designation and name of employee. From these two columns, first colum will contain designation and second will contain the name. After this you have to create a colum where you have to give extra over time salary on those employees who did overtime. After these you can create a pivot table and graphs and charts. So this type of works you can do using excel.

Suppose have to create a memo sheet for a super shop.

Create a attendance sheet for a school.

So there a huge use cases of excel. It is one most used necessary software for office employee. So you must learn excel.
